    Manifest in Phoenix is looking for a Senior SEO Technician to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is comfortable in all aspects of SEO including technical site architecture optimization, on page SEO optimization and off page strategy. This position is for you if you get excited about consuming and interpreting data, nerd out over search engine algorithms, understand the importance of search intent, and love balancing the science of writing meta elements with the art of content.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform comprehensive technical search audits of all SEO elements, client web presence, link profiles, current search engine landscape and competitors, and create focused SEO strategies, remedies and business case support.
    • Develop in-depth keyword and organic optimization strategy analysis based on client objectives, relevant service/product/content on site, target audience, competitive strategy and existing opportunity.
    • Create SEO optimization recommendations that are consistent with audit findings and targeting both long-tail and short-tail specific keywords including:
      • Analyze Google Analytics and Search Console for current keywords driving traffic and intuitively recognizing keyword opportunities
      • Map keywords across all pages on site, associating relevant keywords with appropriate pages
      • Analyze current SEO elements of each page and develop recommendations that will positively move the page up in the search rankings while balancing what would negatively affect the rankings of a page
      • Create unique meta title tags, meta description tags, heading tags, and alt tags and redline content when necessary for every page of client websites.
      • Create an internal linking structure to pass value positively through website
      • Recognize opportunity for new content and create SEO recommendations for new content or landing pages.
      • Make recommendations for improving website architecture, implementing structured data, etc.
      • Identify and champion technology enhancements for clients to impact organic visibility
      • Develop and execute an off page optimization strategy based on link profile audits and in alignment with SEO best practices and white hat tactics.
      • Analyze website and Search Console for broken links and create 301 redirect strategy to reclaim the value of those links
    • Analyze the performance of optimized pages of the site, including ranking movement, search engine visibility and organic click thru to pages, and re-assess SEO elements and/or page strategy as needed to drive performance
    • Monitor Google algorithm and developer resources to identify algorithm updates and assess the potential or known impact upon Manifest clients.
    • Create search engine engineering POVs as needed by client and on behalf on Manifest.
    • Provide real-time client facing insights during site launches and campaigns.
    • Present insights and solutions to clients during kickoff, strategy and contract renewal phases.
    • Effectively and collaboratively communicate with internal Manifest teams, clients and client partners.

    Qualifications

    • 6-8 years of experience in search engine optimization, including technical optimization, on page and off page optimization.
    • Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and experience using industry tools like SEM Rush, SpyFu, Screaming Frog, Moz, etc. and/or enterprise SEO tools like BrightEdge, Conductor or SearchMetrics.
    • Able to perform technical search audits to identify opportunities to optimize website architecture and code and is comfortable working with Dev and IT teams (internal and external) to rectify.
    • Fundamental understanding of HTML, experience with CSS and JavaScript.
    • Comfortable analyzing performance data within Google Analytics and Google Search Console and translating insights into action.
    • Able to understand client’s business goals and target audience and develop strategies for meeting those goals.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and client-facing communications skills.
    • Passion for organic search, and staying on top of latest algorithm updates and digital and marketing trends.
    • Open to up to 25% travel.
    • Bachelor’s Degree required.
